We are within the one month countdown to Blade 2019!

Are you attending?

Will you be exhibiting, and what is your table number?

How many times have you attended this show?

What are your objectives, what do you want to get out of the show?

What do you think are the most important things for new attendees to know about the show?

I will be there with a couple pieces and I'm hoping to get some feedback on my work. This will be my third time attending the show and I can't wait to catch up with all the friends I've met so far, and hopefully connect with some people I've been following. I also want to find some materials to send home for upcoming projects.

See you all there!

This will be my 12th year with a table.

I will be testing for MS.

By "attendees" do you mean new table holders?

I am exhibiting at table 7P

I have been there for 14 years

Of course as far as objectives:

To come home with less knives than I took would be nice, However that is not the only reason to attend. One of my big reasons is to see friends from around the world that I only get to see once a year.

For attendees. Wear very comfortable shoes and be respectful of exhibitors. If they have a potential customer or customers and you want to talk or get advice, come back later. Be prepared for crowds and a lot of knives.

Karl, I wish you the best. I will be at the JS room on Friday morning.

Going for it Karl! Yeah man. I cannot wait to see the presentation set, but I will gladly wait until after the show.

I cannot attend. We will be travelling in Italy next month.

By "attendees" I meant anyone going to the show in any capacity. But I guess that would ellicit different answers for tableholders, collectors, or general attendance. So feel free to answer about any of the three.

Very exciting that you're testing for MS! We're all rooting for you! It's always inspiring to see the test sets at JS and MS levels.

I will be sure to stop by your table and hopefully everything will be sold! Comfortable shoes is a must. I've heard tableholders ask that people come back later. Is there any harm in listening (and no talking/interrupting) to the conversation to observe how these deals go down?

I sincerely wish I could be there to be with Karl and Matt outside the judging room. But I just cant this year. Kay and I just have a lot of responsibility at this point in life and have to choose our time away from home.

I've only missed a few of the Blade Shows. It is a good one.

I will be exhibiting for my 2nd year in a row this time they moved me out of the bathroom stall (annex) and into the main room at 18Q

What are your objectives, what do you want to get out of the show?

last year i made a lot of contacts that I otherwise would not have had that enabled me to do things that i would not have been able to do without them. I would like to continue that trend and see if i can finally sell out completely at a show of course <img src=' http://www.americanbladesmith.com/ipboard/public/style_emoticons//tongue.gi f' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

What do you think are the most important things for new attendees to know about the show?

Im still figuring this out myself maybe this year i will submit something for award consideration?

Update- Sadly I will not be attending. I decided to save the money and invest in the shop. I'm trying to get my business going to transition out of my soul-draining office job. But just because I'm not going doesn't mean this thread is over! I can't wait to hear all the after action reports about what people learned, accomplished, experienced at the show. If you're going, have fun and i hope it is productive!
