The show is getting closer (just 2 months off) and I'm starting to think about what I want to bring to it. Since this will be the inaugural show, I thought that I would try to bring something special to it. I've started a Peter Rose type Bowie with a nice mosaic Damascus & ironwood handle as well as a side-ring 16th century Saxon type dagger.

Have any of you started putting together knives for the show. If so, I'd enjoy hearing (seeing) what you are planning on bringing.

I managed to finish the Peter Rose type Bowie:

The Damascus pattern is from a billet of varied thicknesses that was "W"ed & accordion cut. The handle is ironwood w/ 416 fittings.

I started working on knives for the show the day after I sent in my application.......

I plan on having three knives at the show, two Bowies and a dagger, that's if I can get the dagger finished in time. I had hoped to have 4, but it doesn't look possible at this point.

I just got these done, plus I have a long clip Bowie and a Dagger, both in Damascus, in the finishing rack.

The previous bowie has already found a new home but here's a Chuck Ward photo of my dagger for the show:

Here's a Bowie that I just completed that will be there:

I did something a little different on the handle of this one as I domed the walnut burl slightly and cold peened a piece of N/S to match, giving it a bit of a hybrid old/new feel.

I know it's kinda late in the game, but I finally found some time to photograph the knives I'm bringing.

It was way too much to resize and upload for here, and I had to get them on my website anyway, so here is the link:
