Hello all,

I recently joined the society and look forward to learning all I can from everyone. I started forging and bladesmithing about 7 months ago and it has been great. I live in North Central West Virginia and currently do all my work in my garage. I recently forged my first pattern welded layer damascus blade by hand. The finished product totaled 36 layers of 1080 and 15N20 with water buffalo horn scales. Thanks for having me!

Not far at all. I venture over to Parkersburg to visit my wife's family occasionally near Vienna. Lots of cool antique shops and flea markets around there for finding tools and whatnot.
