The American Bladesmith Society is a non-profit educational organization that both sponsors and endorses Hammer-Ins in many regions of the country each year. Not quite ready for a full two week course at one of our schools? An ABS Hammer In is the best opportunity for anybody interested in bladesmithing to be introduced to every aspect of the craft for a very affordable two to three days. ABS Hammer In attendees have the opportunity to meet and learn from the best bladesmiths in the world as they demonstrate techniques and speak on every part of the creation of a forged blade. From beginners to advanced smiths, all attendees come away from ABS Hammer Ins with a treasure trove of information, and friendships to last a lifetime. An ABS Hammer In is a great way to get an overview of the craft with a wealth of information, before you are ready to develop these skills yourself under the guidance of an ABS Mastersmith Instructor in one of our hands on courses.
