Biographical Info
I build primarily forged, fixed blade knives. I like to make bowies, camp knives, fighters and hunters. Over the last few years, I have begun to make quite a few one-piece integral knives. I specialize in stainless and carbon laminated steel, Damascus steel and even basic, high-performance, working knives that I call "blue collar" knives. I use carbon steels like 52100, O-1 and W-2, and I make high performance Damascus from O-1 and 15n20.
On a personal note, I made my first knife when I was nineteen. I became a full-time knife maker in 2001, received my Journeyman Smith rating in 2002 and my Master Smith rating in 2004. I am a native of Southern California, but moved to Southwest Virginia in 2004 where I now live with my wife and three children.
