I think they've had them in the past but I suggest they come back. I'm talking about the ABS logo for your rear window.(for your car or truck, not your house). I've had an Arkansas Knifemakers Association sticker on mine for a while now and have had quite a few questions from folks. I think it would be a good way to inform the public about our organization. Just a thought.

Bill,

I don't know how I missed this thread but I'm glad I saw it today. I too have been thinking that a window decal would be good advertising for both, the organization as well as the individual. I keep hoping to win the lottery so that I could afford to have some made and donate them to the ABS so that they can raise some funds selling them. But alas my ancestors are Scottish not Irish and I'm not that lucky.

Seriously, If I could get the blessing of the ABS I could use my connections and background in graphic arts to shop for some deals.

I know that there is already a sizable financial commitment to the welcome packs for new ABS members but a window decal would be a great addition... IMHO.

Great idea, I would put one on each truck (car) in the family.

When I first saw the title, I thought I was going to see a pig sticker--or some such--knife! I like the window decal sticker idea too. Keep us posted if you get it sorted out.

I don't remember seeing an old ABS sticker before but I like the idea. I'd buy a couple!

They use to have window sickers. I have one on my truck, my car and a couple of spares stuck back in case I ever need them. I didn't realize the had dropped them. Contact Cindy. Maybe if enough folks ask for them they will start to stock them again.

As everyone knows I read every post on the ABS Forum and I have been following this thread. If you scan and email the decal to me or just mail one so we can see what the original looked like.

No promises except that I will do the leg work and ask Jim and Bill if this is possible and see if they approve.

It would be a good idea for members to keep posting if this is something that they want so we have some idea of the demand.

Dan,

A while ago, before you posted above, I called Cindy and left her a message regarding this thread and the interest in a window decal. She left me a message that she is looking into it through her merchandising contact in the ABS. I thought I'd better let you know so that you both are not working this from two different directions and wasting yours or her time.

Thanks for checking into it and going to work for us. I, for one, am looking forward to displaying a decal on my vehicle.

Thanks. Cindy is in contact with us many times each day so we always coordinate everything that we do for the ABS. Today alone several telephone calls and more than 14 emails with Cindy and the ABS business day is not over for us.

Dan,

If no one has one then maybe something like this would work in a 2x3.5" size...

If we get something made I would need about 6 for all the trucks and cars in my family.

Thanks,

George

Not big on bumper stickers but maybe just the logo in a circle about the size of a Marine Corp sticker

Thanks Dan... I'm glad I didn't get things crossed up for everyone.

It sounds like the ABS already has a window decal designed and previously produced but without seeing it, I'm with you Jared. I too had envisioned something similar to the Marine Corps sticker.

Dan, I try and locate the decal and email you tonight or tomorrow. I don't care for bumper stickers, but I do like my window decal.

I have'nt been forum member very long, but as far as I know, I'm the first to ask for a return of the sticker. I appreciate you guys getting behind me on this. I hope Cindy can make it happen. I have to agree, a bumper sticker is kind of tacky in a way. (that's me anyway). However, a nice decal of the ABS logo, about 3" diameter, would look cool next to my AKA one. Like I said in my original post, It would serve to inform the public as well. Thanks for the replies!-Bill
