Master Smith Lin Rhea and Steve Arnold of the Discovery Channel TV series "Meteorite Men" describe their project of forging a Bowie knife using part of a meteorite. Steve located a meteorite that had landed in southern Africa centuries ago and had been used as an anvil. He cut off a slice of the meteorite and Master Smith Lin Rhea included it in a billet of Damascus steel to forge a Bowie knife.
