OK...Antlers coming in from a Top Knifemaker willing to let me test run them

Understand you can do this yourself, as soon as I get it worked out....

I've tried a number of products for stabilizing mediums with a little success. What did you say you are using?

Joshua,

I am using...HPS 80151 NF...Hernon Manufacturing Company...407-322-4000...ext 305....Bob

Hernon PDF MSDS

Coming up this week will be all natural beef dog bone.

I know it's too cheap and a bit on the nutty/chewy side for handles.

But those bones feel really good in your hand with some shaping...these will be test pieces with dye added

ALERT:

Dog bones won't work to dye or stabilized ...they are already greasy soaked

with flavor for the dog so He/She will chew it to bits.

I made this one a couple of year back for a reenactment customer. Beef bone from butcher that had them for sale as bones for your dog. It was clean dry bone. Leather dyes and stabilized in Cactus Juice. Blade forged 1084 from.Aldo. Worked pretty good. No complaints from the customer and two referrals that purchased reenactment knives for their costumes.
