1084/ironwood Hunter/skinner

Just finished up this one. I'd call it a skinner, but as long as it is (6" blade, 10 1/2" overall) I guess it would be considered more of a hunter??? It didn't show up in the pictures, but I actually got a faint temper line/hamon. Which I think is the first time I've gotten that with 1084. I should have dropped the handle down more so the spine had a more of a curve to it.

Good job Jesse.

I would imagine every knife shown has things that could be better. That's how we know how to tweak our process. One of the best things we can do is to use the heck out our knives and decide what would make them function better in the way of design. Usually if the design changes to improve the function, then it will naturally look better as well.
