I took a class several weeks ago with Peter Johnson, at Zack Jonas JS shop in NH. this class focused on the building of a type XV arming sword utilizing Peters theory of Geometric design. this is the sword I completed in the class. Peter is a deep well of knowledge and understanding of these swords and it was a privilege to learn from him.
the blade is 1075 and the fittings are 1045, the grip is maple with cord and leather wrap. It weights just under 3lb and has a 29" blade.
