I haven't ever used one of these tools and am hoping that someone can fill me in on their capabilities. My question is this:

I know that the headspinner can put a dome on the end of a piece of pin material such as nickel-silver or brass, etc, and can then be inserted into a pre-drilled hole, but if the pin material, that is pre-domed on one end, were to pass completely through an object, can the opposite end then be domed right up next to the object without the headspinner marking up the object that is being pinned?

Case in point... See the attached photo. On this project I peened the ends of the pin material that goes through the loop and the fob, but to get a nicer finished product I'd like it if the pin was domed on both ends. Will a headspinner work for this or is there a small swedging/doming tool that I can get or make? Any ideas or feedback is appreciated.

Rick
