I bought a tub of this stuff from www.blacksmithsdepot.com/ and i like it but i am wondering if i can mix it with some water or oil to allow for easier application when thermal cycling

You can use water to thin it out. I do this when I want to create a hamon. Or when I am thermal cycling in the kiln.
