Hello all, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Marc Gelinas and I started making stock removal knives almost three years ago. I run a seasonal business with my wife in Northern Wisconsin for the spring and summer, and return to New Mexico for the winter where I make knives. I started forging blades just this winter and have forged 4 knives and two ulu’s so far. I love this and I want to try to master this craft and this seems like the best place for me to accomplish that goal. I also just finished my first attempt at forge welding. I made a San Mai billet with 1095 core between nickel foil and 15n20. I look forward to meeting and learning from the more experienced members and am hoping to take a class soon.
