Does any one know where I can get a piece of damscus san mai? I have a customer that is asking for a knife made out of a piece and I am not comfortable enough to make a piece as of yet.

Jantz has premade sanmai blades in their catalog, they do hold up quite well.

Randy Haas at HHH Knives made me some. It was 1084/15N20 damascus over a 1084 core, If I remember right.
Good stuff , but it aint cheap.
