Hello everyone,

I'm considering a museum fit handle for a journeyman knife, is this fit up appropriate for a test knife?

Stephen; a museum fit is okay. But; like all the other aspects of your test knives; it must be done cleanly and correctly. Look forward to seeing your work.

What is a museum fit? I have never heard of this term before.

It's where the handle material's profile is just slightly larger than the guard/spacer/butt cap steel material. If the handle ever shrank from dimensional instability, it would still be at least the same or larger than the fittings. That way no hard edge ever occurs where they meet.
