New Member Apprentice Bladesmith

Hi everyone. New member from Bedford, IN. I am a salesman by trade and started making knives a couple years ago as a hobby/stress reliever. Then I caught the bug. I have been slowly improving in my skills and earning a rating actually seems like something I could achieve. So that brings me here. Hope to learn as much as I can and keep progressing in this journey.

Doug, welcome. If you are not familiar with IBA Oden group, get on the Indiana Blacksmith Association, there are several knife makers in that group. They meet the first Saturday of the month just North of the Dutch Pantry. If you find yourself in Evansville the second Satuday of the month we have a blacksmith shop at the Vanderburgh County Fair grounds. We also have a knife makers group that meet the second Tuesday of the month but that would be quite a drive for short demo unless you are in the area anyway.
