Wanted to say hello from SE Minnesota (Rochester area)!  I appreciate the resources opened up by the organization and look forward to learning and improving.  Been at it for about a year, started with simple stock removal and got addicted to the forging process as I started to gear up.  Now my wife doesn’t see me much even when I’m not at work…  and I’m not allowed to throw my dirty clothes in with hers any more (something about metal shavings shredding her clothes in the wash, I dunno I wasn’t really paying attention).

Thanks in advance for everything you share and do!

Rob

Nice to see another guy from MN doing this =). Wearing a Leather apron when grinding will help prevent the shredding of clothing from flakes of metal, and prevent your clothing from developing holes in it from forging.
