New location - Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing
on the campus of Texarkana College

The Fall in the Piney Woods Hammer-In is offered by the American Bladesmith Society, Inc. and is a long established tradition in our organization. Starting this fall, October 12-13, it will be held at the Moran School of Bladesmithing on the campus of Texarkana College located at 2500 N. Robison Road in Texarkana, Texas. There will be a large sign on the building designating it as the Moran School of Bladesmithing. All activities pertaining to the hammer-in will be located on campus. The Hammer In draws a large number of ABS Master Smiths and Journeyman Smiths and the Moran School has been the site for bladesmithing classes for over 30 years.

This looks like an awesome lineup of demonstrators and everyone is excited about the new facility and getting ready for the event. We have many pre-registered, but if you haven't pre-registered please do, it is a great help to getting people through registration and to the demo they want to see. So, get to it, help the registration people out, please and thank you.

Thank you Cindy. We also have a great knife to be given away Saturday after the auction. You must be a paid attendee to be eligible for this drawing. This events knife is a really nice fighter by Charles Carpenter JS. The blade is 192 layers, random pattern of 1075 and 15n20. The handle is quilted maple. Charles did a great job with this piece. Thank you very much Charles.
