I was trying to find some of my older posts and the forum tells me that I have only made 129 posts and the first is from about a year ago. Did a bunch of material get lost somehow?

Hello Joshua, I logged into the admin side of the forum and did a search, this is the information that the database has on the Admin side:

The earliest post I have from you is the following:

Posted 29 September 2012 - 09:31 PM

That's exciting. Congrats! Will you have anything for us to see next weekend?

Gary

Next weekend? I was hoping to see something by January in San Antonio!

Great work Steve, or as a French carpenter I know would say "not bad for your first try!"

If there were posts before 2012 I have no information on them, and cannot say where they could have went.

Kevin, when I open my profile and click on "find posts", it says "there have been 132 posts by Joshua States and shows me 6 pages to look at, with approx. 25 posts per page. They appear to be in chronological order and page 6 shows the earliest post dated Nov. 24, 2017. I was actually looking for a conversation I had with you on the difficulties of machining 1095. I seem to remember it was early last year. I cannot seem to access any of my material pre-November 24, 2017. Am I doing something wrong? I thought I had bookmarked that conversation (as well as others) so I could return to them through the "Manage Watched Topics" function, but there's only one topic in that cache under my account. Maybe it's my technical disability again. Thanks for your help.

Joshua, is this it?

Yes, that's the one I was originally looking for when I discovered the "lack" of posts in my profile page. It all seems very strange. When I click on your link it takes me to that topic. At the top of the page there's this little button that says "Stop Watching Topic". This tells me that I have this in my "watched topics" folder, but it's not there when I go to my account/profile pages and choose >Your control panel > Forums > Manage Watched Topics. There's only one topic in the list and this one isn't it. That's when I looked at My Profile home page and clicked "Find Posts". Well, there were only like 129 posts listed and I thought "Hmmm, some stuff seems to have disappeared", at least from my profile page. I guess it's still on the forum, but not in my Watched Topics folder or in my Posts List.

I try to bookmark topics I want to get back to easily later. It's a handy feature of the forum. I've bookmarked several of your topics so I could review your techniques at a later date. Now I cannot get back to them the way I planned. I guess I'll just have to try using the search engine, or going to another maker's profile (if I can remember who posted what) instead.

This is still happening. When I go to my profile page and look for my posts or topics, there is nothing from before September or October of 2018.
