I started this billet right around the first of the year. I finished up the Knife in time for the NCCA Mystic Knife show where it won "best forge blade"
this is a concept I have been calling pictorial mosaic, the idea is that rather than a repeating pattern as is done with most mosaic damascus, I am using those same techniques to make a single composition, in this case a sunrise over water.
