Hello everyone,
Just call me Mike, william is to formal. I'm 31, a U.S. Marine vet and i live in lansing MI for now. I made my first sharp pointy object a few years ago in 2017 and then the first blade I would consider a decent knife about a year later. Im a bit late to the party because I'm just now checking out these forums for the first time. I'll post some pictures in my profile soon so you guys can see some of my work.
I know the ABS is a wealth of Knowledge so I'm looking forward to finding out where to start and seeing what i can learn.
Welcome to the group Mike! I joined last year. Retired from the Army a few years ago and got into making blades as a hobby to start, I'm also from Michigan.

I'm glad there are more bladesmiths in the Midwest. I thought everyone who did this was far out west.
